"The striptease action was just one of the many ways in which Gaultier explored the realms of Parisian style. His models wore high twisted turbans, and came on smoking cigarettes. His favourite trench-coat came in black satin with batwing sleeves, while a grey trouser-suit, impeccably cut, featured a “rocket cone” bra and “derrière” in black mink, attached to the jacket. Fishnet leggings were embroidered on the back with the Eiffel Tower and long cashmere cardigans were worn with multicoloured, sequinned trousers." via{telegraph}

John Galliano presented the Christian Dior 2011 Cruise collection with the city skyline as it's backdrop.  Shanghai sure seems like the new "it" place to showcase runway collections.  The show was opened with model Karlie Kloss, and also featured, Joan Small, Rose Cordero, Liu Wen, Lais Ribeiro and others.  I adored the colour palette blue, pink and yellow pastels and lovely embroidered silk & organza gowns.
